What about powdered ginger? I've been using a blender to mix broccoli, cauliflower, beans, soy, wild blue berries, carrots, etc. – you get the picture. I've been doing this for about 2 months and managed to get my Ulcerative Colitis into remission. I used drugs too but I'm off them now and the diet seems to be helping. Anyway, I've been using powdered ginger because it's convenient, does it make any difference?

GNCS GNCS says:

LOOKS LIKE A GOOD DRINK MY FRIEND. ADDING CUCUMBER IS INTERESTING. HOWEVER ALL OF THE SCIENTIFIC INFO SAYS THAT YOU NEED TO ADD FAT, BLACK PEPPER AND HEAT FOR ABSORPTION. ALTHOUGH YOUR DRINK LOOKS LIKE A GOOD IDEA, IT DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR ABSORPTION USING THE ABOVE ITEMS. EITHER PLEASE EXPLAIN OR AMEND UNLESS YOU SIMPLY INTEND TO PROMOTE YOUR DRINK FOR NON MEDICINAL REASONS

Wilson Rios says:

Of course you are not aware that turmeric needs black paper to facilitate absorption if not it will end up in urine….

Arne Lidmark says:

If you want the antiinfammatory effects of curcumine it´s necessary to add black pepper. (A source of piperine).

Maria says:

Excellent information thank you so much!!

Mama Pat Dontoh says:

Thank you so so so ooo much!!! stay blessed!!!

orbtax says:

Turmeric is oil soluble only, not water soluble. So in order for the body to absorb the turmeric you need to add extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil and/or 1/4-1/2 tablespoons of black pepper (the bioperine in the pepper aids in the absorption of turmeric by 400%) to your concoction.

FeelGoodGold says:

This is certainly interesting as well as something that I will try
